Your attitude is the personality approach you bring to a situation. Your attitude is something entirely within your control. You can manage it by the choices you make in how you view the circumstances of your life and your work. Puppies, kittens and babies generally have good attitudes. They are always excited about what is happening next. They have relatively little fear. They show little annoyance. Most situations are looked upon with curiosity, wonder and awe, as opportunities for play. Somewhere along the way, we learn to feel anxious, depressed, annoyed, apathetic, resentful, jealous and a whole host of other emotions that are represented in our attitudes. As a little child you saw a lawn full of fallen leaves as an opportunity to jump in a pile of those leaves. As an adult you see that same lawn full of leaves as a chore to rake up. It's all in the attitude expressed toward the situation.

To be a professional you must examine the attitude you bring to the classroom and to the school culture. A negative attitude will rarely bring about a desired result. A positive attitude will not only make you feel better, but it will also bring out positive feelings in others and may help to improve the situation.
